Ashura narrations displayed on video mapping in Iran

Video mapping is used to display Ashura narrations in the Iranian province of Hamedan.

As Muharram mourning ceremonies highlight the deep relationship between the Iranian identity and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), people in Iran use every opportunity to visually put Ashura narrations on display.

People in the Iranian province of Hamedan take this chance every year since the beginning of the mourning month of Muharram, and visually present Ashura narrations using video mapping.

The ritual of presenting Ashura narrations on video mapping in Hamedan happens every night since the first day of Muharram in five turns and in the form of a 5-minute video clip.

Imam Hussein (AS) was martyred in the Battle of Karbala, nearly 14 centuries ago. However, his martyrdom has never been forgotten or marginalized in Iranians’ daily life.

People and the government in Iran are deeply indebted to Imam Hussein (AS) whose martyrdom created a long-lasting unity among them. This unity still exists and could be further strengthened despite foreign pressures.
